Abstract

In view of Oliver Dürrʼs and Johannes Hoffʼs trinitarian anthropology of technology (TTA) and the current shift from a paradigm of humanity to a technocentric paradigm of trans-humanity, the present article is an attempt to complement and continue TTA. Five teleologically concretising proposals for supplementation are developed: firstly, a culture of revelation that reaches into the poetic; secondly, the alternative concept of self-dynamic technology; thirdly, the concept of split selfhood; fourthly, the introduction of a third paradigm of Theo-humanity; and fifthly, the concept of existential absolutism. The latter is to be understood as the actual sum of TTA, in that it provides the final adequate space for the concept and practice of theosis: a poiesis of existence whose independence from technology grows in proportion to its approximation to God.
