Abstract
The Gospel of John proves to be a text that also reveals not only the divine but much that is human. In view of the actuality of artificial intelligence and the reflection on the main anthropological question—“What is the human being?”—the article analyses the καὶ ἐσκήνωσεν ἐν ἡμῖν in John 1:14b. This is based on the understanding that the prologue of John offers a reading guide for the entire gospel. On the one hand, the biblical background of God’s “tenting” or “dwelling” among the people is illustrated. On the other hand, the question of the anthropological and ethical perspective of the Prologue statement for the Johannine narrative is raised.
