Style and Spirituality of the Philosopher Klaus Müller
Abstract
Through his extensive academic work, the Münster theologian and philosopher Klaus Müller has initiated numerous systematic debates and has also made a lasting impact on generations of students. The question of the relationship between the absolute and the finite can be seen as the core of both his academic teaching and his sermons. It is connected with an in-depth study of the work of Spinoza and, from a theological perspective, with the idea of the revelation of the Divine in the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Reformulating both forms of thought in the mode of a panentheistic idea of God is his enduring concern, the essential features of which are outlined in this contribution.
