“Being and Nothingness. The Original Theme of Philosophy”: on a Late Work of the Philosopher Lorenz B. Puntel

Abstract

With his book Sein und Nichts: Das ursprüngliche Thema der Philosophie, Lorenz B. Puntel has completed his grand project of a comprehensive “structural-systematic philosophy”. This article traces the central ideas, both systematic and historical, of Puntel’s treatment of being. Based on his concept of the absolute, the article finally presents additional ideas with regard to the Incarnation, the Trinity, and theodicy.
