Abstract

In this paper I would like to pose three critical questions concerning Saskia Wendel’s and Martin Breul’s conception of “Practical Metaphysics” in order to clarify key concepts: These inquiries concern the concept of metaphysics, the concept of ontological commitment, and the status of noumenal reality in the Internal Realism proposed by Breul. I doubt that this Internal realism is the “golden mean” between realism and antirealism. Rather, Internal Realism is itself a semantic antirealism. Finally, however, I will agree with Wendel and Breul that metaphysics cannot be politically innocent.
